502,233. Straightening. SOKAL, S. (Maschinenbau-Akt-.Ges. vorm. Ehrhardt & Sehmer) July 25, 1938, No. 22062. [Class 83 (iv)] In a sheet-straightening machine with staggered rolls 1, 11 supported by groups of backing rolls 2, 12 each group 2, 12 is carried in a bearing B and is removable as a unit without dismantling the machine. The lower bearing is mounted on members 18 which are first removed in dismantling the lower rolls. The upper rolls are raised by screws 33 and are dismantled on removing locking plates 10, 20.
