Abstract

493,249. Embossing-machines. KLEINE. WEFERS, J. Jan. 8, 1938, No. 656. [Class 100 (ii)] In a rotary embossing- machine, each set of embossing-rollers a, b is mounted in frames c which are detachable from the main frame g of the machine so that one embossing unit can be exchanged for another when desired. A shackle e is fixed to each frame c for use in lifting the unit out of the machine. The bearings of the upper roller a are slidable in the frames c and have thrust members attached thereto which are engaged by pressure-applying spinders n on the frame g. The frames c are slidable in guides s on the main frame g and are secured by pivoted catches. A guard rail is mounted on the frames c.
