Abstract

287,647. Morton, C. Dec. 30, 1926. Rollers and roller heads.-In a spinning frame having drawing rollers set close together the lower intermediate roller is driven indirectly from another roller through an independant cross-shaft. In one arrangement, the lower back roller 12, Fig. 4, is driven through gearing 19 - - 22 from the lower front roller 10, the lower intermediate roller 11 being driven indirectly from the back roller 12 through gears 24, 25 the cross-shaft 23 and gears 26, 27. The shaft 23 is carried in bearings 29 on arms 30, Fig. 2.
