Abstract

361,238. Revolving stages. WINTERFELD, E., 8, Marbacher Strasse, Wilmersdorf, Berlin. March 17, 1931, No. 8177. [Class 132 (i).] Revolving stages are made in sections which can be readily assembled and taken apart and when assembled are adapted for fixing to a permanent stage. A plate 2, Fig. 2, is bolted to the permanent stage and carries a hollow vertical shaft forming a bearing for a rotating element 5 formed of two circular plates between which are bolted sectorshaped frames 11. The frames are formed of angle iron bars and one radial edge carries projections 14 engaging metal straps 15 on the adjacent edge of the neighbouring sector. A central strengthening bar 12, Fig. 3, is provided on each frame which is supported on rollers 16 running on segmental rails 18. The stage is driven by a pinion engaging a circular rack formed by the outer edges of the assembled sectors. Additional segmental frames may be provided for varying the size of the stage.
