Abstract
528,137. Endless-belt conveyers. MAVOR & COULSON, Ltd., and THOMSON, J. April 28, 1939, No. 12713. [Class 78 (i)] In conveyers of the type in which the belt carrying structure comprises a series of side plates arranged end to end and having inwardly projecting shelves on which the belt bears at its edges, the idler rollers 12, Fig. 3, are journalled in carriers C adapted to be mounted on supporting pedestals 1, Fig. 2, and to provide mountings for the side plates B, B<SP>1</SP>. Each carrier C comprises angle bars 9 connected at their ends by flat bars 10 and at intermediate points by inverted - U section members 11 which act as journal pieces for the roller 12. Projections 8 extend downwardly from the shelves 6 of the side plates B, B<SP>1</SP> and take into the spaces between the parts 10, 11. Projections 4 extending upwards from the pedestals 1 take between the parts 8, 10.
