Abstract

501,657. Endless-chain conveyers. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. Aug. 31, 1937, No. 23778. Convention date,. Aug. 31, 1936. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group II] The sprockets at the lower end of the scraper conveyer 513 are mounted on a shaft 529 which is loosely journalled at both ends in parallel bearing blocks 527. To each end of the shaft is attached a rod 530 having at its upper end a nut 532 which co-operates with a screw-threaded rod 531. Owing to the loose fit of the bearing blocks 527 the conveyer can jump away from the pan, and it can be manually adjusted by the nut 532.
