Abstract
369,665. Washing granularmaterial. WILKINSON, T. B., Anston Cottage, Arnside, Westmorland. Dec. 31, 1930, No. 7147. [Class 82 (ii).] Apparatus for screening granular material comprises a jigging screen 5, Fig. 1, mounted on a trough 1 and disposed near the bottom thereof so as to subject the material on the screen to the action of water maintained in the trough from the supply pipe 20 at the upper end. The trough may be provided with staggered baffled plates 22, 23, Fig. 3, inclined towards the lower end of the screen to assist in maintaining the supply of water therein. The mounting and driving devices of the screen may be of the kind described in Specifications 295,167, 335,193, and 336,641, [all in Class 78 (i), Conveyers &c.].
