Abstract

233,204. Pessell, R. C., and Williams, F. A. July 30, 1924. Addition to 213,634. Cooling milk.-The apparatus for cooling milk as claimed in the parent Specification has the following improvements :-(a.) the milk is purevented from flowing over the edges of the hollow water-cooled member or members 1 by means of projections or beadings 8, 9 along the vertical edges, as shown; (b) curved deflecting wires or like projections 7 are provided at the top of the member 1 to prevent the milk spreading or to converge the trickles of milk flowing from the perforations 3 of the trough 2; and (c) the upper trough is integral with one of the hollow watercooled members or, alternatively, is made to be detachable.
