Abstract

350,312. Feeding appliances for poultry. KRUUSE, E. M., Randers, Denmark. July 28, 1930, No. 22702. [Class 5 (ii).] A food trough a is fitted with a roof e consisting of two sloping surfaces and provided on its lower face with two plates f sloping downward to each other to prevent chickens entering the trough. The roof is fitted at each end with a transverse wooden block g having a screw h adapted to project through a slot d between two upright members c at the end of the trough. Wing nuts j on these screws permit the roof to be clamped at a suitable height above the trough for the size of the chickens being fed.
