[Class 78 (i)] A belt conveyer comprising a plurality of conveyer frame sections, each consisting of a pair of side members joined together by a table, supported end to end on stands, slings or the like and a single belt extending the whole length of the conveyer with its upper run supported by the tables is characterised in that the side members of the frame sections are provided at each end with extensions by means of which the ends of the sections are supported in the said stands, slings or the like, a bridge piece being provided to bridge the gap between the ends of the tables in adjoining sections. As shown, the conveyer is built-up of sections supported by stands 13, each section comprising a table 11 with sides 10 provided with extensions 12 carrying plugs 15 which engage in cradles 14 on the stands, the gaps between the ends of adjacent tables being bridged by members 16 so as to form a continuous surface for the upper run of the belt 17. These members 16 are reinforced at 21 and are provided with depending strips 22, and with double-yoke members 23 which engage over the plugs 15. To secure the strips 22 to the upper end of the stands and at the same time prevent sagging of the return run of the belt on to the stands, a roller 24 provided at each end with a distance piece 25 is supported on a threaded spindle 26 which is engaged at each end by a locking nut 27 passing through the stand and a strip 22.
