A pair of cables 9, 10, between which are suspended self-troughing idler roller assemblies 12, 15, 16 supporting the conveying run of an endless belt conveyer, are supported and spaced apart by support structures 1 and are spaced apart at points intermediate the support structures by spreader bars 20 provided with U- members 25, 26 to receive the cables, the spreader bars spacing the cables a greater distance apart than the support structures so as to counteract sag of the cables between the support structures.
