Abstract

852,050. Endless-belt conveyers. CONVEYING DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. Feb. 27, 1959 [March 12, 1958], No. 7891/58. Class 78 (1). In an idler roller assembly for supporting the belt, the centre roller 29 and the end rollers 32 are mounted on separate longitudinally spaced supporting members 26, 27 and the end rollers are supported by brackets 30 which are slidable along the member 27 to vary the distance between the rolleis. The members 26, 27 are tubular and their ends are welded to horizontal tubular supports 18. Each bracket 30 is tubular and has bearing lugs 31 at each end for supporting a roller. A slot 33 is formed in each bracket and receives a double-headed rivet 34, the inner head of which is within the member 27. Clamping screws 36 secure the bracket in position. The brackets and the tubes may be of square cross-section.
