[Class 135.] In a conical plug cock comprising a plug L with the narrow end uppermost and a closed chamber E formed by a recess N in the bottom of the plug and a corresponding recess in a screw cap F, a cover member P screwed into the casing H provides a threadless packing space C. The plug L has a single throughway passage and is provided with an integral shank at its narrow end having a threaded part I. A spigotal nut B and a locking-nut A engage the thread I. The nut B enters the space C and functions as a gland-cover. The casing H is provided with packing-grooves D.
