Abstract

381,509. " In " and " out " indicators. JEATER, C., 10, Bramley Avenue, Coulsdon, Surrey. May 10, 1932, No. 13424. [Class 118 (i).] An "in " and "out" indicator is operable by two bolts 1, 2, the bolt 1 being used for fastening the door from inside, and the bolt 2 from outside, and a projection on the. bolt 1 is adapted to engage either end of a slot in the bolt 2 so that whichever bolt has been used to fasten the door, the latter can be opened by moving the other bolt. The bolt 1, when shifted by a knob, rotates the indicator by a rack and pinion device, while a handle on another pinion serves to move the bolt 2. To prevent opening from the outside, a pin is inserted in a hole 7 in the back-plate.
