Abstract
381,045. Metallic-vapour rectifiers. ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET, Võsteras, Sweden. Jan. 12, 1932, No. 913. Convention date, Jan. 12, 1931. LClass 39 (i).] The insulating cylinder 5 which protects the cathode insulator 4 or a ring 8 forming, through packing 7, a tight joint therewith rests on the bottom 1 of the container, and channels 11 are provided in the ring or in the container for the return of condensate to the cathode. Projecting teeth 12 may be provided on the ring to guide the condensate into the channels and an iron arcguiding cylinder may be fitted to the cylinder, Fig. 4 (not shown). In a modification, the condensate collects in a channel 15 formed by suitably shaping the cylinder or by fitting a ring thereto and is freed of impurities on passing to the cathode through channels 16.
