380,935. Cooling cylinders ; pumps. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Sept. 19, 1931, No. 26295. Convention date, Oct. 3, 1930. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii).] A water-cooled radial cylinder engine has its axial length reduced to a minimum by placing (i) the fuel pump 5 in the gap between the upper pair of cylinders, (ii) the scavenging blower 4 between the lower pair, (iii) radiators 10 at the sides, and (iv) the driving gear 13 for all the auxiliaries including the oil and water pumps 6 in a casing to the side of the engine the delivery conduits 8 from the blower being housed in this gear casing.
