Abstract
256,067. Low Engineering Co., Ltd., O'Brien, H. S., and Low A. M. Aug- 26, 1925. Force-feed lubricating.-In a two-stroke internal-combustion engine in which lubricant is conveyed to the cylinders &c. with the fuel, lubricant collecting in the crank case b is forced by the compression therein through a pipe or channel i leading direct from the base of the crank case to a crank-shaft bearing j, a non- return valve g<1> being provided at the inlet to the pipe or channel. The pipe may be branched so as to supply the bearings on both sides of the crank case. Surplus lubricant returns to the crank case from the bearings through channels k. Members e, e<1> may be used to increase the compression in the crank case, as described in Specification 257,099, [Class 7 (ii), Internal-combustion engines, Arrangement &c. of].
