[Classes 20 (iii) and 137.] A rooflight comprises a box frame having side openings 10 or perforations communicating with a transverse passage by which air passes over the lower surface of the glass 4 to prevent condensation thereon and to ventilate the building. The outer member 8 forming the passage may be perforated and the inner one 6 does not touch the glass and may be louvred. A flashing strip 2 is provided to engage the roofing material. When applied to flat roofs, the side opposite the transverse passage is made deeper to give a slope to the glass. The glass rests on a flange 3.
