Abstract
340,168. Roofing material. INTERNATIONAL COPPERCLAD CO., 25, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Shakespeare, W. M.; South Orange, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Feb. 17, 1930, No. 5340. Convention date, March 1, 1929. [Class 20 (iv).] Roofing and like material consists of a base of flexible fibrous material such as asphalted felt 10, a thin central copper or other metal strip 11, and marginal portions 12 similar to the base and slightly overlapping the edges of the strip 11. The product may be bent lengthwise for roof valleys and gutters, and may be cut lengthwise or into units. The metal strip and the marginal portions may be coated on the underside with hot asphalt and be united with the base by passing the whole through pressure rollers. The metal strip may be formed by electrodeposition. Specification 220,644, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.], is referred to.
