Abstract

354,131. Seaming waterproof garments. BLOND, N., Sophia Street Works, Rochdale Road, Manchester. Nov. 15, 1930, No. 34409. [Class 70.] Strips a of porous material backed with a comparatively thick layer of rubber are applied over the seams of waterproof garments and, after the rubber has adhered to the garment, the strips a are removed from the rubber by destroying the bond, e.g. by a rubber solvent. Alternatively, the strips a may be secured to the rubber by a water soluble adhesive. A strip of lining material may be placed over the rubber waterproofing strip if desired.
