[Class 138 (i).] A windscreen wiper comprises a wiper arm d which is oscillated by a reciprocating rack a, connected to the arm-actuating mechanism, engaging a pinion b. The rack a is extended to project through the case f enclosing the arm-actuating mechanism, and, when it is desired to use a second wiper, is connected by a rod l to a second reciprocating rack j adapted, by engagement with a pinion h, to drive a second wiper arm g.
