[Class 138 (i).] The electric motor a is mounted on the inner side of the screen b and the reduction gearing h and mechanism for operating the oscillating arm of the wiper are mounted on the outer side within a casing located at an edge of the screen. The gearing consists of a train of wheels, one of which is connected by a crank i to a rack j provided with one or more series of rack teeth for engagement with one or more pinions k and connected to a wiper arm f.
