472,137. Windscreen - cleaners. TRICO PRODUCTS CORPORATION. Nov. 2, 1936, No. 29734. Convention date, Sept. 2. [Class 138 (i)] In a windscreen-cleaner adapted for use with a slanting type of windscreen the wiper shaft is adapted to extend in a direction normal to the face of the windscreen and an actuating shaft in non-parallel relation therewith is adapted to extend substantially longitudinally of the vehicle, the shafts being connected together by a flexible transmission and being supported as a unit for mounting and dismounting with respect to the vehicle. In the construction shown, the windscreen is in two sections inclined to each other, and each is provided with a wiper 6 which is connected by an arm 7 to a shaft 8 mounted normal to the section. The shaft 8 and a shaft 13 are mounted on a standard 10 adapted to be fixed within the cowl portion 4 of the vehicle. The shaft 8 is driven from the shaft 13 by means of two chains 15 which are attached to teeth 16, 17 on sprockets secured to the shafts. Integral with or connected to the lower sprocket 19 is a crank 27 which is connected by a link 26 and a cross arm 25 to the oscillatory shaft 24 of a motor 23. The shaft 13 and the shaft 24 are substantially parallel to each other.
