Windows and the like, cleaning.-A wiper is carried by two or more levers for parallel movement across the. glass, so that it acts over a large area. As shown applied to a vehicle windscreen 2, the upper frame member 1 has journaled in it two pivot pins 3 which project at each side. of the frame member and carry levers 4 pivoted at their lower ends to horizontallydisposed wipers 5 on each side of the screen. The inner wiper carries an operating handle 7 and the links carry clips 8 to retain the parts in the inoperative position shown in dotted lines. An outside wiper only may be used, the inner arms being then made short and connected by a lever having an operating handle, or an operating lever may be provided on one of the pivot pins 3. The wiper may be operated by Bowden wire mechanism, or electrically, or by fluid pressure or suction from the vehicle engine..
