Windows and the like, cleaning.-A windscreen wiper comprises the combination of a casing a, attached directly to the screen or frame, a rotatable shaft d in the casing, a pulley h and control spring j therefor secured to the shaft, a Bowden wire i engaging the pulley and a wiper arm e, or arms e<1>, Fig. 10, secured to the shaft d, Fig. 4, or to a separate shaft k, Fig. 8, and operated by the wire. Means (not shown) are provided to retain the wire in the groove of the pulley, and, in a modification, a. lug on the wiper arm may work in a semi-circular guide.
