July 27, 1931, No. 21411. Convention date, April 16. [Class 142 (iii).] The sliding blade 23 of a temple thread cutter is normally held by a spring 26 in a forward position in which its tail 25 is out of the reach of the lay 2, but is advanced into operative position at weft replenishment by a stronger spring 44 carried by a shaft 43 which is rocked by a slotted cam 40 on the shuttletransfer shaft 36. Specification 377,812 is referred to.
