Abstract
349,676. Weft ends cutting &c. in automatic looms. CAMPS, J. P., 80, Colomer Street, Sabadell, Spain. March 11, 1930, No. 7858. [Class 142 (iii).] In looms having automatic well-replenishing mechanism, a cutting member 23, movable with a rocking weft carrier or bobbin conveyer 17 is made to advance during the beat-up towards a cutter 24 mounted on the sley, the co-operation of the cutters being arranged to effect the cutting of the weft before the spent bobbin is removed from the shuttle. The cutter 23 is mounted on a spindle 5 carried by the conveyer 17 and is normally held in inoperative position by means of a spring 27. When weft replenishment is required however, a spindle 30 is rocked and, by means of links 26, 25, its movement causes the cutter 23 to be swung into cutting position.
