776,481. Cutting weft ends in looms. HRDINA, R. Jan. 24, 1956 [Feb. 1, 1955], No. 2967/55. Class 142 (2). In an automatic loom the old and new weft ends are cut at beat-up when a resilient member 23 depending from the slay draws them taut across a fixed blade mounted on the temple 13. The resilient member 23 may be a wire with a coil formed intermediate its length, or may be a spring blade or fork. The old weft end is held by a shuttle feeler and cutting device as described in Specification 767,668.
