Abstract

374,804. Floors &c. OLBRICHT, G., 40, Thurnseestrasse, Freiburg, Breisgau, Germany. Jan. 25, 1932, No. 2263. [Class 20 (iv).] A lattice girder for use in ferroconcrete floor and ceiling construction consists of top and bottom beams a, b, Fig. 1, of wood, vertical iron struts c connecting the two beams, and a tautened bracing wire or wires d extending up and down diagonally between, lacing them to each other. The bracing wires are attached to the beams by clamps s, Fig. 3, with teeth u which bite into the wood. The clamps are held in position by bolts t and nuts. The upper and lower portions of the struts c are bent round the sides of the beams. The girder is made sufficiently strong to support the weight of surrounding ferroconcrete until set. The girder can be finished in the workshop. Reinforcing bars g used for the concrete are laid on cross pins h to which they may be attached by wire.
