[Class 100 (ii).] In apparatus for copying documents &c. of the kind comprising a continuously-rotating cylinder carrying a printing-sheet consisting of an original provided with a mirror copy on the back, mechanism is provided whereby a used original may be removed from the cylinder and a new original applied without stopping the cylinder. As shown, the leading, edge of an original is held by a series of grippers fixed to a shaft extending across a cylinder 4, and, by depressing a lever 5 pivoted at 6, a cam 8 is raised so that a roller arm fixed to the gripper shaft is rocked to release the original which subsequently falls on to a delivery table 12. A pivoted feed table 1, which is normally supported by a pin 13 on the lever 5 and which carries the new original, is released by the movement of the lever and is pressed by a spring 14 towards the cylinder 4. Arms 16 projecting from the table 1 are then engaged by pins 15 on the cylinder whereby the table is moved forward so that the leading edge of the sheet is seized by the grippers. Sheets 24 to be printed are fed automatically by a known device 23 actuated by an eccentric 21 on the cylinder 4, and a pressure roller 19 is tripped by cams 20 on the cylinder.
