374,179. Water-tube steam boilers. STIRLING BOILER CO., Ltd., 32, Farring- don Street, London, and SUMMERS, G., St. Omer, Bellfield Avenue, Harrow Weald, Middlesex. March 20, 1931, No. 8602. [Class 123 (ii).] In a Stirling-type boiler having a combustion chamber 11 provided with water-cooled side walls, and a front water-tube screen 3, the steam and water from the side walls and screen discharge into a steam and water drum 1 separate from the boiler drums and arranged at or above the normal water level in the boiler. The upper headers 7a of the side water cooled walls are connected to the drum 1 by tubes 7. Tubes discharging steam and water from front watercooled walls are arranged parallel with and above the front water-tube screens 3.
