[Class 51 (i).] Pulverized fuel with primary air is fed to a furnace through burners 6 arranged around the walls of the furnace so as to produce a region of turbulent combustion at the centre of the furnace, the burners being fed with conveying streams of secondary air through nozzles 8 arranged above and below the burners. The walls of the furnace are screened by water tubes.
