369,882. Discharge lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London.-(Assignees of Patent-Treuhand-Ges. f³r Elektrische Gl³hlampen ; 11, Ehrenbergstrasse, Berlin.) 'Jan. 4, 1932, No. 228. Convention date, Jan. 13, 1931. [Class 39 (i).] An axial partition 9, possibly of glass or metal, extends along the whole interior of the tube 1 and has at least one side coated with a fluorescent substance 11, e.g. zinc sulphide, scandium oxide, or calcium tungstate. The wall may be secured by resilient clips 10. In one construction the electrode 7 consists of an electron-emitting rod possibly of barium oxide with a heater winding on it. The electrode 8 may be a sintered mixture of tungsten and barium oxide, and may be separately heated. The partition 9 may consist entirely of fluorescent material, and may be glazed or polished.
