Abstract

368,525. Two-stroke engines. MICKELSEN, V. and REBBECK, F. E., of Harland & Wolff, Queen's Island, Belfast. March 16, 1931, No. 7986. [Class 7 (ii).] In engines wherein the power piston 3 controls the admission ports 15, and an auxiliary piston 9 the exhaust ports 12, the latter is connected by a lever 6 to a rod 5 driven off a lay shaft 4, so that during the power stroke of the main piston the rod is in tension. It is also in tension during the compression stroke. A fuel pump 11 is driven off the lay shaft 4.
