Abstract

Rustless steels containing 17-25 per cent of chromium and 0,65-0,95 of carbon are heated to 1020-1120 DEG C. cooled in oil, water or air and then bright finished. The steels may be annealed at 820-850 DEG C. and shaped by tooling before being heated. Specification 338,912, [Class 72, Iron &c.], is referred to.
