Abstract

The process described in the parent Specification is used to extract wholly or in part from the steel &c. under treatment one or more of its constituents by suitably choosing the medium which surrounds the steel &c. during treatment, e.g. decarburizing cast iron by surrounding it with soft iron filings or a current of air during the treatment. Specification 365,033 is also referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the process of the parent Specification may be used also to add subtances to the sheet &c. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
