Abstract
368,272. Generating and amplifying oscillations. HABANN, E., 44, Stargarderstrasse, Berlin. Aug. 28, 1930, No. 25754. Convention date, July 10. Addition to 367,790 and 368,270. [Class 40 (v).] In a resistance as claimed in the parent Specification and applicable for generating and amplifying electric oscillations, the contact substance comprises one or more of the compounds, titanic anhydride, manganese oxide, chromium oxide, iron oxide, tungstic acid, or tin dioxide. Preferably two or more of these oxides are mixed with zinc oxide. A small quantity (2 to 10 per cent or less) of cuprous oxide, uranium oxide, or vanadic anhydride may be added as a catalyst, as claimed in Specification 368,770. The resistance may be cooled to the temperature of -120‹ C. or lower. The cross-section should be larger than usual, as the current density is not uniform.
