Abstract
363,258. Mercury-vapour rectifiers. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts. Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) April 9, 1931, No. 10522. Convention date, April 9, 1930. [Class 39 (i).] An anode shield comprises a solid tube d, Fig. 2, within which is mounted a coaxial tubular openwork grid e extending to the mouth of the shield. The part f of the grid surrounding the anode may be solid. The grid may consist of equidistant plates k, Fig. 5, or of longitudinal strips supported by studs l. Additional perforated grids g, Figs. 3 and 4, or solid grids h, Fig. 4, may be mounted within the grid f. The grids may be connected to or insulated from the shield.
