Abstract

403,926. Metallic-vapour rectifiers. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Oct. 24, 1933, No. 29495. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1932. Addition to 367,648. [Class 39 (i).] Anode grids are mounted in, and supported outside, anode shields, and the supports are constituted by insulating bars which are located in tubes attached longitudinally to the outside of the anode shield and to which are connected the grid supports. In one form, Fig. 1, grids 6, 7 are supported by insulating rods 8, 9 attached to porcelain, quartz or other insulating tubes 3 contained in tubes 2 and secured thereto by pins 10 passing through them. One or more pairs of tubes 2 are provided according to the number of supports 8, 9 required.
