437,784. Discharge devices. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, London. (Assignees of Smith, D. Y. ; 376, Prospect Street, East Orange, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Feb. 27, 1935, No. 6296. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1934. [Class 39 (i)] The electrode assembly 12 is registered with respect to the tubular portion 10 of the envelope by an insulating spacer 13, which extends transversely of the portion 10, and resilient insulating strips 16, which contact with the portion 10, are secured to the electrode assembly by straps 20, and are arranged perpendicular to the spacer 13 with which it engages at a part intermediate its ends. The mica spacer 13 is secured to the electrode assembly by straps 14 and the mica strips 16, which are curved so as to contact with the envelope along edges parallel to the axis of the device, are extended to form tongues 18. The straps 20 fit into grooves in these tongues and are welded to the anode.
