Abstract

363,007. Sound-reproducers. WEEDON, J. H., 80, Lonsdale Avenue, East Ham, London. Sept. 19, 1930, No. 28050. [Class 40 (iv).] A sound-reproducing device is coupled to a diaphragm or diaphragms by a rod 1 having an adjustable universal joint, the distance between the reproducing device and the diaphragm being adjustable. The rod 1 is preferably screw threaded so that nuts may be used to adjust the position of washers gripping the diaphragm, or the rod may be plain and the conical washers fixed by set screws or a split chuck. The rod terminates in a ball 2 held in a member 3 having a ball 4 engaging with a sleeve 6 to which the sound-reproducing device is attached. Screws 5 serve to tighten the ball and socket joints.
