Abstract

362,773. Fuelinjectors. SWISSLOCOMOTIVE & MACHINE WORKS, Winterthur, Switzerland. Feb. 18, 1931, No. 5153. Convention date, March 4, 1930. [Class 7 (iii).] In a fuel-injection valve casing which is formed in two parts 7, 8, the fuel supply pipe 21 passes through the upper part and makes a tight metalto-metal joint with a seating 20 in the lower part, the pipe being secured by a clamp 23. The parts are connected together by screws 16, which enable the valve casing to be withdrawn from a sleeve 28. The bolts 24, 25 which secure the clamp also pass through flanges 30, 31, by which the sleeve and the upper part 8 of the injector are held in position. The fuel valve may be mounted eccentrically in the valve casing.
