Abstract
206,146. Brevetti Ughemar Soc. Acc. L. Corsi & Co. Oct. 24, 1922, [Convention date]. Vaporizers, external.- Heavy fuel mixture is vaporized by being passed through a chamber 3 which is screwed into the head of the cylinder and has a downwardly projecting annular portion which is heated on all sides. The mixture from the carburettor, entering by a pipe 6, follows the path indicated 'by the arrows round a depending tube 7 and through a suction-actuated inlet valve 9. A recess 4 is open to the cylinder. A separate petrol carburettor delivering mixture at a point between the heating means and the valve 9 may be provided for starting. An existing engine may be simply modified by fixing a chamber 3 in a conical seat formed in the head of the cylinder and passing the vaporized mixture through the usual admission port of the engine.
