Abstract

235,398. Everett, P. N., Stockley, D. D., and Hick, Hargreaves, & Co., Ltd. June 26, 1924. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A fuel injector of the type not using spraying air and having a fluid-pressure actuated needle valve, 4, is provided with a non-return valve 6, situated either in a fuel conduit within the injector casing, as shown, or at the point of junction between the fuel supply pipe and the injector casing. The invention is applicable to injectors of the type by which two different fuels are injected; in this case non-return valves may be placed in either or both of the supply passages. Two fuel passages located either within or close to the injector may be used, a single non-return valve being disposed in a common passage.
