Abstract
362,339. Casting-machines. ELEKTRONMETALL GES., Cannstatt, Stuttgart, Germany. Aug. 8, 1931, No. 22499. Convention date, Sept. 15, 1930. [Class 83 (i).] A valve b, to relieve the pressure in the metalforcing chamber of an automatic die-casting machine in the event of failure of the power driving the machine or the control mechanism, is arranged in the air supply pipe f and is normally held out of action by the same power for instance by means of an electromagnet c. When the power fails the valve b falls and so cuts off the air supply f and opens the pipe g, leading to the metalforcing chamber, to exhaust. The device is applicable to hydraulically-controlled machines.
