Abstract

[Class 79 (iii).] The underframe 1 of a truck supporting the power unit of a petrol-electric set is provided with an extension 20 having a bearing 17 for a pin 19 of a carriage 18 so as to connect the carriage in such a manner that the loading of the axles 2, 3 is substantially unchanged by the weight of the carriage. The axles 2, 3 are driven by electric motors 5, 6.
