Abstract

362,028. Hoists with guided carriers. HETZELBERGER, F., 6, Zeitblomstrasse, Ulm-on-Danube, Germany. Sept. 12, 1930, No. 27309. [Class 78 (iii).] Relates to telescopic fire-escape ladders combined with mechanically-driven lifts, the ladders being of the kind in which the ladder sections have latticegirder bracing members at the sides, and consists in arranging the upper ties of the bracing members to act as the rails or tracks for the lift. As shown, the bracing of each ladder section 1 comprises struts 2 united by upper ties 4. These ties may have a T-, L-, or tubular section, and all lie in a common plane when the ladder is collapsed or extended. Rollers 6 mounted on the lift cage 5 are suited to the differing gauges of the track formed by the upper ties 4 of the several ladder sections.
