Abstract

361,978. Four-stroke engines. KÍHLER, L., 43, Zieblandstrasse, and RAUWOLF, F., 13, Viktualienmarkt, both in Munich, Germany. Aug. 30, 1930, No. 25955. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi).] The engine has in addition to the normal inlet and exhaust valves F, G, a terminal port N through which mixture is admitted from the crank case. The port is controlled by a rotary valve M on a halfspeed shaft L used to drive the normal valve gear. The shaft and valve are housed in a casing K which forms the transfer duct for the mixture from the crank case. The charge is admitted to the crank case from the induction pipe H by a piston controlled port E.
