Abstract

346,049. Four-stroke engines. DANIELS, C. G., 70, Parkland Drive, Oadby, Leicester. Jan. 13, 1930, No. 1151. [Class 7 (ii).] Air or mixture drawn through a piston-controlled port e into the crank case is pumped on each stroke into a transfer passage f acting as a receiver, both charges being admitted through the normal inlet valve during the induction stroke. The delivery from the crank case is controlled by a positively-driven valve such as the rotary valve d driven at half crank shaft speed.
