Abstract

359,856. Spray producers. RUEDA, M. G. DE and LEFEVRE, F. L., 76, Avenue des Champs Elysees, Paris. March 7, 1931, No. 7175. Convention date, March 8, 1930. [Class 69 (iii).] A spray pistol of the kind having a rotatable cap provided with auxiliary air jets for flattening the spray comprises an air nozzle 2, Fig. 3, having an external conical surface against which a conical cap 3 containing the flattening jets 6 is pressed by a spring 4. The plane of flattening is varied by turning the cap 3 by a handle 7. When the ports 6 register with the solid part of the nozzle the air supply to the flattening jets is cut off. The angular range of the plane of flattening may be increased by turning the nozzle 2 on the body 1 of the pistol. The body 1 may have screwed therein a dipping tube 10, Fig. 1, which is screwed into a lid 11 held in contact with a liquid container by springs 16 attached to a plate 17. The lid is vented at 14 and provided with packing 13. In a modification the liquid tube is mounted coaxially within the nozzle 2. The dipping tube may be provided with a telescopic extension so that it may be adapted to containers of varying size.
